"I've never been to an Ikea before. I've heard the stories about people getting lost in them," Matt tells Foggy as they walk from the parking lot into the large building.
They're greeted by the strong blow of an air conditioning, and a much cooler inside; people, mostly families crowd the entrance area. Matt can hear the voices of children at play, and parents telling their kids to behave while they shop. Seems there's some sort of play area to allow the adults to shop around in peace if they want. Ahead is the sound of an escalator at work, carrying lines of people up to the second floor.
"Sounds big. You sure we're not at the mall?" he jokes.
“Well fret not dear Matthew, my family used to come here all the time. I know this place like the back of my hand.” In a swift motion, he gripped Matt’s hand in his own. “I shall be your humble and fearless leader through these dangerous parts!” Foggy smirked, of course just teasing him.
“So we need..bed frames and beds.. and a couch- and a table..and a bigger bank account ugh. Why does being a responsible adult cost so much?” He pouted and began to lead Matt towards the beds first.
"By all means, take the lead, Sir," Matt said, chuckling. He followed Foggy's lead through the store towards the area where the bed frame options were on display. Some samples were decked out with full mattress and sheets, with decorative pillows that could also be bought; other samples were simply headboards on their own.
"What's the simplest frame they have?" Matt suggested. He didn't need anything fancy, as long as it was better than the creaky frames he and the other kids had slept on at the orphanage. The noise was obnoxious.
“Uh..theres a black or white one. Both are just wooden head boards with no special design or anything- we both should get those?” Foggy offered, pressing his hand against it to test out the feel. “Seems sturdy enough for all the women you are gonna bring over..wanna look for mattresses now?” He smirked and walked back over to Matthew, holding out his hand again.
"Black or white will match with most things, right? I guess we can decide which one later, based on what our other furniture choices look better with," Matt suggests. He laughs and shakes his head, smiling at Foggy for the tease about his dating life. "Right. Like you never hang a sock on the door handle."
He reaches out to find Foggy's hand and nods at him. "Now mattresses I'm more picky about. -Within budget of course."
“I’ll admit I do hang a sock or two on a door…but its more fun to go to their place.” He shrugged and gave Matt’s arm a little squeeze. “I don’t dine and dash them like you do Murdock. For as handsome as you are you cannot keep a relationship.” He teased and sat down on one of the mattresses “this one’s alright..what are you looking for in one? Softer? Harder? You can be quite particular.”
"I keep telling you, I'm just searching for the right person," Matt insists, smiling faintly.
He reaches out to feel the give of the mattress before them. "There's only one way to really do this." Matt climbs onto the mattress and crawls across it to make room for Foggy. He flips onto his back and pats the space next to him.
Foggy flopped down next to him, shrugging a little “I mean its a bed? Not the most comfortable one I’ve felt but certainly better than those things of rubber they call mattresses..” he sighed and shifted closer to him “this ones a little crowded though ‘honey’..dont you think we need a bigger one if we’re gonna share?” Foggy teased him with a smirk, gently shoving him towards the edge of the bed
"It's not bad. I've slept on worse," Matt mused. He wondered what the price is on this one. It doesn't seem half bad for a cheaper mattress. Better than anything at the orphanage was. Not as squeaky either, or not yet at least.
Foggy was joking around though and Matt was pulled from his thoughts. "With that attitude, you're going to hog all the sheets at night. I just know it." Matt laughed as he clung onto the edge to keep himself from actually rolling off.
“Youre the one who cant stay warm- youre gonna hog everything! I will be left shivering on the edge of the bed.” Foggy laughed and got up “come on honey there are certainly better beds than that one. I know we are trying to save but lets at least get one we both fit on.” Foggy smirked back at him, even though he knew Matt would go along with it. “Hey what about this one? Its pretty soft but still gives nice support- come feel.” He pulled Matt down
